Dr. Lakshman has a unique training background that enables him to safely produce excellent and reliable results for his patients. He believes in one on one interaction and takes his time during the initial visit to carefully understand the patient’s expectations. His patients have always complemented him on his compassionate bedside manner. His motto and mission statement is “a sophisticated analysis yields beautiful results.” Surgical confidence comes from training and actual experience and Dr. Lakshman has both. He has practiced plastic surgery in the Pasadena, Glendale and greater Los Angeles area for over five years. His training began as a General Surgeon at the University of Tennessee College of Health Science in Memphis, TN. He then completed a burn fellowship reconstructing the disfiguring contractures and scars caused by burns in both adults and children. His training next led him to the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque where he completed a hand and microvascular fellowship. He returned to Memphis to complete his plastic surgery residency. As one of the few surgeons in the San Gabriel Valley who is board certified in both plastic surgery and surgery of the hand, Dr. Lakshman is uniquely qualified to give his patient’s the best possible outcome.
